Android Single Screen Design

by Maceo D. Trahan

Hey, guys.

Just thought I'd show you my new home screen.
This is a simple home screen, which I really like to do. This home screen is just driven by the very nice wallpaper. I no longer use multiple home screens. In my opinion, multiple home screens are a hold over from iOS and other older mobile operating systems. Really, when I am using my smartphone I never think "Wow! I really am glad I can get to every app I have by just swiping."

I've just been enjoying my smartphone much more with less staring at me. The decision-paralysis and disorientation that comes from having all these apps all over the place.

One screen to rule them all

So, here's the dissection as I like to call it. Very simple. Just the default GO Wallpaper background, One More Clock Widget Free (Super awesome - great clock widget app. Dozens and dozens of clock styles), and of course Nova Launcher to control the number of home screens, remove the app dock/drawer and decrease app icon size.

Ooops! Just realized I forgot to mark-up the MetroStation Icon Pack. Good thing I included the text description, which I was going to skip this time.

That's all for now. Thanx for following along. Hope you have a great day.
See you next time!
